I am so sorry for your loss. Pops was a great and wonderful man. He was loved by all and so much fun to be around. I know what you are going through, just remember all of the good times, talk about the memories and be thankful he was in our lives for as long as he was. He will be missed, but he wouldn’t want us to be sad. Pops was all about the laughs. Please find comfort in knowing how much he loved and was loved by many. May God Bless your family in this time of sorrow. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers, Love, Carol & Dennis & family

To my second family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. Everyone at the Kahl household is here for you to call on. When ever you need us do not hesitate to call. I feel so lucky to have known ‘Pops’. He treated me like one of the grand kids. I will always remember the McDonald trips and the camp outs in his backyard; His one of a kind smile that always cheered us up, his famous bus stories that had the entire table laughing until midnight. He has made such an impact on my life. I will never forget him. My prayers are extended to to the entire Tatro/Spies family. Pops was truly a remarkable person and I thank him so much for the smiles he has provided me with over the years.
God bless you all.

Annette,Sandy,Amy,Larry Jr. and Families,
I am greatful to Sandy and her family for inviting me down on this last holiday to spend some time with her family and especially Larry Sr. Halloween and the fires will never be the same. I am glad I got to sit with Pops and chew the fat just days before he passed. He always asked about me, my job, and how the kids were doing. I am envious that my Grandfather’s were not as funny ,caring and involved in their Grandkids lives as he was. He was truly a wonderful family man who loved his kids,Grandkids and friends. He would have me pissing my pants (especially last Halloween) about the Bus stories. You all know which ones I mean. He brought laughter into my life when I needed it most. We always wound up taking a picture of each other at the same time. I’ve got the pictures to prove it. I hope you all can find peace in your hearts with the loss of your Husband,Father and Grandfather. If anything, he taught me the kind of Grandfather I’d like to be.
Peace to you all,
Jerry Kahl
P.S. Chelsea, Pops was at your Graduation and was the proudest guy in heaven that day!
Sorry to hear about your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with your family
Mrs. Spies, Larry, Sandy and Amy I very sorry for your loss. I was shocked to see the notice in the paper today. I use to enjoy swimming in the pool on Dawnwood and filling in the one on Chestnut.
It has been many of years since I have seen you Larry but I think of you often. Every 4th. of July I think of how you father told us the parades was for your Birthday.
I drove by the old house on Saturday and showed my son your house and told him GREAT stories from the old neighborhood. Again my condolences to you and your family, you are all in our prayers.
Oh Annette nothing we say will take away your grief today but know that we are truly sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you today and the days to come. Sincerest Sympathy, Marge
