  31. Dear Deanna and Family.

When we received the message about Craig the feeling of Shock and Disbelief emerged and continues. I guess one does not truely know how much they cared about someone until that person is not here to care for.
Craig and I keep in contact with each other, aparentally not enough.
My uncle Bob and I were very close and as years passed I saw so much of him in Craig.
I wanted to communicate with you sooner but actually did not know what to say and I still don’t.
I guess this is taking the easy way out.
I hope when this message reaches you, that you and your family are Safe and in Good Health.
May God Bless all of you and may Craigs Love and Devotion fuel Your Hearts Always.

This period is tough, Time Heals and Love Lingers for ever!

Love Always – Bobby & Roberta

  32. It was my privilege to make a new friendship as I sat next to Craig at countless Planning Commission meetings. I witnessed his expertise, commitment and personal integrity at every turn. I offer the following quote from Shakespeare to comfort his dear family and to speak to what so many in Broadview Heights feel at this time of tragedy and loss.

“And when he shall die, take him and cut him into little stars. And he shall make the face of Heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night and pay no worship to the garish sun.”

  33. Dear Aunt Barb & Family, We are SO sorry for your loss & offer our deepest condolences. We havent seen all of you in many years but that hasn’t meant that you’ve not been in our thoughts. I have cherished memories of spending countless hours, days, weeks in your home when I was young. You are like family to me, and Craig was certainly like a brother. He was hilarious and equally kind-hearted. I am so terribly saddened by this news. My thoughts and prayers are with you…

    Much love,
    Sarah Petrovich

  38. Dearest Deanna,

Words cannot fully express how sorry and heartbroken I am for you of you in the loss of your beloved Craig. I was blessed to work with you as a law clerk for the City of Parma Law Department where you always talked with so much love for your Craig and all of your children. Craig visited the office often during my years working there and he always brought with him a warm smile, kind words, and a huge heart. Craig always took the time to speak with me and take interest in my life whenever he visited the Law Department–and I was just a law clerk. I was touched by the glimpse I got to see of the love of your family Deanna which I know Craig was an enormous part of. Thank you for sharing them with us.

To Morgan, Connor, Mason, and Quin,

Your parents love all of you so much. While I got to know your mom much better than your dad from working with her, working at the Law Department I got to know how wonderful and blessed a family you are and your dad was a major part of that. Your dad will live on in your minds and hearts forever and he will watch over you from heaven.

I am deeply sorry I cannot be there to pay my respects in person but please know you have much love and prayers for all of you here in Chicago.

    Love, Hugs, & Prayers,
    Laura

  39. Dear Deanna and family-
The pain of your loss is felt by so many who love you. Our deepest condolances to you and yours. Long after the pain is gone you will always be left with the happy moments in time that you all had with Craig as a husband, father and best friend.
    Paul T. Kirner

  40. I was just telling a friend the other day about the tractor steering wheel you put on my yellow banana-seat bike in place of the handlebars. Then there was the time you and Deanna spent all night in the garage painting your truck in camouflage with a little GI Joe figurine on the front hood. I had the coolest bike and you the coolest truck in all of Parma. Teaching me to swim and ski – you just threw me in the pool and pushed me down the slope and told me to toughen up. When you were our teenage chef at Mack’s Snacks, I hung out with you everyday there after school and just laughed the afternoon away. So, so many people knew and loved you and even when strangers asked my name, they knew or knew of you and said, “Oh, you’re Craig’s little sister.” I will cherish always all the many, many nights of beers at the local Parma bars and all our wild conversations. You and Robbie are the best big brothers a little sister can have and I always will be one of five, not four. You have made me the person I am and you always will be with me. Whenever I don’t feel you close, I will look at all your crazy texts still on my phone. I will always be here for Deanna who is a sister to me and for your kids and then when it is time, I will see you and dad and join you for a few cold ones upstairs. And don’t worry, I’ll take over bringing the salt to Thanksgiving dinner! Love always, Jennifer

  41. You were ALWAYS there. Always willing to help. When my dad wasn’t there, you taught me how to fix my car or change my breaks. My mom thought the world of you and you would drop anything to help her when in need. You never had to be asked. You just did. I could always count on a weekly call from you. Even if you had nothing new to tell me, you would always check in and make sure I was doing okay and end with, “ok, good day.” It’s the little things you did that made all the difference. I’m still finding things you have hidden in my house. 🙂 Heaven gained an irreplaceable guy-

  42. Dear Deanna, I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I lost my husband 6 months ago suddenly and I know the pain you are going through. I always got the impression he was an excellent husband and father, as was my husband. He was so proud of you when I told him I voted for you for Judge. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Carlene from Charter One

  43. Deanna, I haven’t met you, but I had the pleasure of working with Craig and Rob at MUI. I am so sorry for your loss. Craig was always smiling and friendly when he came into the office for whatever reason. He will surely be missed.

  44. Dear Barbara and family, Words cannot express my sorrow and sympathy for you guys. I regret that I cannot attend the services due to an eye problem, but my heart and thoughts are with you on this sad day. I have not seen Craig for many years, but I would recognize his father in his beautiful smile. Anything I can do, please do not hesitate to call. Love you all, Aunt Sadie

  45. Dear Deanna and Family,

I have no adequate words but please know that you are very much in our thoughts and prayers. It is my hope that you find peace and the strength to carry on as our dear Craig would approve. I remember the many times I would see Craig and Deanna and the children at Brian’s house for a picnic or 4th of July celebration.

  66. Dear Family,

I’m so saddened by the tragic loss of your special son, husband and father.

I knew Craig only near the beginning. I remember that there was great family joy when he was born. And, in later years, I remember a very bright and sweet young cousin; a little kid that nobody couldn’t love.

Attempt to let the joy of his love for you temper your unbearable grief now, and strengthen you as time moves on.

    With great love and sorrow,

    Dennis Mackovjak
