  2. Our sympathies and prayers extend to Mary Kaye, Paige and the family of Ed Demyan. We are saddened by his passing, but know that his love for you will last forever. His example of strength throughout his illness is a lesson for all of us. Mary Kaye, please know that both you and Ed have been an inspiration to us. We pray that your strength and love for Ed will provide comfort for you.

  3. Ed was one of the greatest persons I have ever had the pleasure to know. His persistant smile, pursuit of happiness in everything life has to offer, and the brotherhood of his friendship is something I will always treasure. God bless his children, MaryKaye and friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing the great spirit and pleasure Eddie gave to all of us.

  4. Frannie,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

  5. Thank you for the kind words everyone. I was a very, very lucky girl… he picked me! He could have had anyone, he picked me! We had an extraordinary relationship that most people dream about – it was a gift that I will treasure always. Paige and Ed also loved each other very deeply and that was also a relationship that was special beyond words. xoxo MK & Paige

  8. MK and family,
I have followed your blog since I saw the story on News Channel 5. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My family went through the ugly battle of Pancreatic Cancer with my uncle from June 2009 – May 2010; I know how ugly it can be. My prayers are with your families and friends in this time, as they have been since I first saw the story. Take care, and may God wrap his arms around you all!

  9. God Bless all of you at this very difficult time. I know your pain, as my husband lost his battle with Pancreatic Cancer last year at the age of 44. Know that his suffering is over and he is at peace. My prayers are with you.

I cannot tell you how my heart is breaking for you and Paige (& our whole family), he sure was our “Special Ed” and I loved him with all my heart. He will be in our hearts forever. Keep your strengtht up, as Ed would want that. I am so glad you had such a fun filled year starting with the Super Bowl, you were both fighters and such troopers in getting through this horrible desease. I love you lots and keep up the wonderful work you guys started with the PANCAN. Love, Mom

  15. Mary Kaye,
I never had the opportunity to meet Ed, but it sounds like he was a terrific guy! I’m very sorry to hear of his passing, and sorry for your, Paige and everyone’s loss. I’ll be praying for you & your family.
    Love,
    Charlene (Char) Woff

  16. To Mr. Demyan’s family, I’m very sorry for your loss. No matter how much time passes we still feel the loss of our loved ones and view death as God does, an enemy. (1 Corinthians 15:26) May you find comfort and hope in His promise at Revelation 21:3,4 that shows soon there will be no more death, sickness, or pain, and we can see our lost loved ones again. Please accept my deepest condolences.
