Messages of Condolence

  1. I cannot begin to say how much I will miss my Uncle Fred. I have so many great memories. He went out of his way to always make my visits back “home” enjoyable and memorable, whether with boat rides, gifts of perogies or just visiting and enjoying his many stories. He has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Although we will miss him, his family should take comfort in how positively he affected others. I know I will always have to smile a little whenever I think of him and I hope MaryAnne and the rest of the family in time are able to smile too. I think he would like that.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you in the loss of a truly wonderful man!! He had such joy in his heart always. He brought a smile to everyone he met, what a precious gift of generosity of spirit he had! I wish for his family to always remember Fred with a smile. The wonderful memories he has left us all with will stay with us forever. May God bless and watch over all his family during this time of farewell to Fred.

  3. We will remember Fred working in the flower beds on the parkway. He always waved and smiled as we drove by. When the girls were small he would offer us his “Friendly’s: coupons” for free sundaes.

Our prayers are with you all.

  4. Dear Mary Ann and Family,
Andy and I are so sorry about Fred. We will not be able to be there, as we are leaving Sunday morning for out of town until mid week. We will always cherish our times together on the cruise’s and other get togethers. Andy said, ” Freddie watch out for the mushroooms. Love you dearly and God Bless and will talk to you latter.

  6. I am so sorry for your loss. May it comfort and help you to know that God’s word at Jeremiah 29:12 says: …and you will certainly call and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. Yes, please know that God care and invite you to let him help you as Jeremiah bring out. I hope this bring you and your family some comfort.

  7. TO THE FAMILY OF OUR DEAR FRIEND–FRED SCHILLING

It is with a heavy heart that we offer our sympathy and condolences to Mary and the entire Schillig family. We were truly schocked to see the passing of Fred. He has been our friend for a long time, and we will truly feel his absence. Due to the weak and many health issues of Alan, we were unable to attend his wake or funeral. For that we apologize, but we know that Fred would understand because he was a very kind and understanding man. God Bless you, Fred. You are a true angel. Rest in peace. Love, Alan and Irene Frimel

  8. My great Uncle Fred will truly be missed as he had touched so many of our lives and has given us wonderful memories that won’t soon be forgotten. My best memories was when he would bring his antique truck to my birthday and give everyone in the neighborhood rides or when we got to ride in it for the Fourth of July parade. I will never forget the paint shop (Schilling Enamels Co) and the joy on his face while he ‘worked’, if you can even call it that since he loved what he did so much. I remember the family gatherings at the house and how he made everyone always feel welcome. I feel so glad I was able to see him one last time when he made the trip out to South Dakota from Ohio and we made the trip from Arizona. Even after 12 years of not seeing him he hadn’t changed a bit. I will never forget the smile on his face or the warmth of his hugs. RIP Uncle Fred, you will forever be in our hearts.
