Messages of Condolence

  1. Dear Uncle Mark,
Even though I didn’t get to see you very much because of the distance between us you were always in my thoughts. You were a dear brother to my mom Vera and to Irene. Thanks for supporting our family when we were grieving. Love to all of your family and God speed!!

  2. Dear Peggy, Patty, Maureen, Mihe, Shelia, Katie, Molly, and Families,

I love your Dad – He was my favorite Uncle, and both your Mom and your Dad really Blessed my childhood with their presence in my life, especially after I lost my Dad n WW11 when I was three. I remember my Unle Mark clearly even from that time – He did like to tease me , in a playful way o course ….. He would say to me “Who’s the bestest in the house?” My reply to this question would be persistently “Me am!” – at which he would always reply, “No, you’re not – I AM! Then the back & forth banter would continue until I probably conceded – Probably time for my nap – My regret is that I didn’t.get to see him in these later years – Love you still and always will, Uncle Mark – your children and Grandchildren are truly Blessed to have had such a wonderful role model for a Father- A Beautiful, Godly, Son of God, – full of Love and Light – I look forward to seeing you, and all our Family in Heavenxoxoxo

Love, Valerie ( Daughter of Vera Twelvetree Carrell née Callahan)

  3. God Bless you, Mark. The “gang” at the ‘ole Bryant Company will forever miss your sense of humor and boundless energy! I extend personal condolences to the entire family and cherish the many fond memories left by Mark who now joins his dear wife Helyn.

  4. I was saddened to learn of Mark’s passing. My brother Johnny joins me in offering our condolences to Mark’s family and friends. Mark was our first cousin (once removed). Our mother was Ruth Callahan Salstrom who passed away in 1996 at age 85.

IMark was a handsome gentleman and the patriarch of the Callahans. He came from a wonderful large family and lived to see three more generations, no doubt. He was truly blessed in life.

I have to smile thinking of the joyous reunion going on with so many of the Callahan clan right now.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

If prayer cards were made, I would like to have a couple for my prayerbook. My address is 2011 Oakland Dr, Winston Salem, NC 27106
