Carol, we loved you more than we could have ever realized, you are already missed by ALL of us who knew you!
To ALL of her CHILDREN,GRANDCHILDREN, HER HUSBAND BOB AND SISTER DONNA, may GOD wrap his loving healing hands around your broken hearts and help EACH of you to find peace and know that she was sent here to do something special and then God calls her home where she can rest in paradise, in my opinion the something special was probably the Children and Grandchildren that she left as her legacy….GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU!! Aunt Carol, I want to believe that “Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday.” I have very fond memories of younger days. (I must admit, I regret not staying close) Just know that I love you and will miss you.
Theresa, Dale and Dawn…..my SINCERE and deepest sympathy to you and your families. I’m sorry I’m unable to be with you during this painful time, Please know that I am with you in spirit, I LOVE you all…..
Cousin Carol was an adorable little girl, and most of my memories of her are from the 1950s and early 1960s, when her life was so insecure and painful . She and I were first cousins, but she was 15 years younger. Her father, Wilbur, and my mother, Catherine Dixon, were siblings, together with their brother, Joseph. After Uncle Will died, we all drifted farther apart and Carol and I met only once again, in the 1990s in Daytona Beach where I live, and she and Cousin Mary Dixon had had come for a short visit. Even after all those years had gone by, Carol still suffered from the pain, neglect, and near-abandonment of her childhood. When she recalled it, she couldn’t hold back her tears. Still, she was so much fun, so full of life.
It’s amazing, really, that she found the strength to overcome such a harsh beginning. That she went on to experience the love of children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and a caring life partner says so much about her. And, of course, there were her loving sisters and brothers, always. She deserved every kiss, every hug, every kind thought and word that came her way.
In loving memory,
.
Cousin Eleanore (Ellie) Brozko Osborne
