To The Family of William Platten,
I think of all of you as my “second” family and wish that I could somehow lessen your grief at this time of great sadness. Hearing of Billy’s passing brought to mind many wonderful memories that Tom and I were fortunate to have shared with all of you through out the years. Billy and Tom enjoyed a great friendship and whenever they were together there was laughter all around, I like to think that is how they are right now! Especially your Father telling his jokes with that Irish lilt he liked to use!! “In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look at the sky at night.” from the “Little Prince” Saint-Exupe’ry
Love
Mary Wilbur
