Messages of Condolence

  1. Kenny was one of a kind. I always think about the fun times we had working at the Plain Dealer along with his always-funny dad, Jack. After all he has been through, it is comforting to know Kenny is finally at peace.

  2. Im so sorry to hear of Beads passing. He was such a pleasant and fun person to be around and I will treasure the times I spent with this awesome friend. I havent seen him in years but I always will remember the good times I spent with him and his brother Kirk and sister Lisa. I love you all and God bless your family.

  3. Kenny fought the fight his last years and made everybody proud. He was a joy to be with in the Plain Dealer sports department in the 70s and 80s. He gave it his all in the PD bowling league, where he went from a kid with sweaty palms hen facing a 1-pin spare to a treasured teammate helping win games. We called him “Rambis” on the basketball court for his oft-inelegant yet always-earnest efforts. We’ll miss him, but treasure the memories.

  4. Kirk and Lisa, I was so sad to hear of Beads passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.

  5. Dear Matley Family,
I am so sorry to have read of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. Something that I have personally found to be of great comfort are the thoughts expressed at John 5:28,29 as well as Revelation 21:4. In these verses we find a wonderful hope for the future in which the causes we now have for suffering including sickness and death will no longer exist. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family as well. Again I am so sorry for your loss.

    Rebekah

  6. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Matley Family in your great lose of Ken.
Ken worked for me at the Main Post office downtown Cleveland early in his postal career while working on the LSM machines. I was his supervisor but we were also friends. We respected each other. We talked about life and not just the job.
I saw Ken last at a Hockey game at the Q arena last year or year before last. I work at the arena part time. I went up to his seat and sat a while with him, we had a great conversation and also met his brother.
    He will be missed………..
Family be Blessed. God is receiving a Good Man!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Kirkland and family,

May God’s love make your grief bearable and wishing you and your family strength and peace. And may hope find it’s way to your heart and may happy memories carry you through this sorrowful time.
Please, know how very sorry I am. Take comfort—those who love will be reunited in eternity.

    Elaine
