Gratefullly remembering my godmother, Aunt Katie, who (along with Uncle Mike) always had a smile on her face, always had a great laugh, and always had a hug ready for me, or my sisters, or any of the kids & cousins that we were, back then. Mike and Katie —- very loving, and much loved. 🙂

I had the honor of being this beautiful lady great niece!:) I spent a lot of time with her. We shared the interests of styling hair! Her late husband Mike , I am named after, I always had a special connection to them. I missed Mike dearly and now I’m gonna miss my Beautiful Aunt Catie every day! When you walked into the house she was always greeting you with the biggest smile! And was always asking about all our lives. She would listen and know every detail of what you told her. Even friends! She loved, she traveled, she enjoyed her life to the fullest. My children loved her so. We would fight for the spot next to her on the couch. Because she had a problem with scratching backs!!:) Love you Catie. God bless you now and forever:)

It was always a joy to be with Katie! Her home was warm and welcoming…always decorated for the holiday or season. She had such a quick sense of humor that kept us on our toes. I loved being with her when I was a child and more so in adulthood when we could share meals and talks about life and love and family and friends. Rest in peace, dear one, back in the arms of your beloved Mike!

Aunt Katie’s favorite and most important message she shared with everyone she knew or met was “Love One Another”. She lived her life devoted to God & her family and her family of friends. I will miss her for the rest of my life. She loved and laughed and lived life to the fullest.
On Wednesday night we prayed together and I told her that I was going to miss her & I told her I’m not sure how I’m going to handle this whole thing with her leaving. She leaned in, held my hands and said “Beth you know I’m going to be happier”. I said I know that you will be in the most beautiful place surrounded by love. You asked me to pray that God would give you the grace to handle all of this. I prayed every day. My heart aches now & there is comfort in knowing I’m not alone in my grief because you were so loved by so many. Shine on Aunt Katie and we will do our best to live and laugh and to most of all “Love One Another”

    Aunt Katie my dear,
I will always fondly remember the stories we shared, the laughs we had ( yours was infectious) the Sugar cookies you always made for Mom, the great meals we shared together and so much more. You were a gracious and loving woman. Your message to “Love one Another” was written on every card you sent me. I will always remember you by it. RIP as you are reunited with all your loved ones who proceeded you and now sit at God’s table in Peace.
God Bless you. Prayers to your siblings and family.
