Messages of Condolence
“A True Believer” and inspiration to many. He will be greatly missed.
I’m so sorry! Prayers to you & your family!
Richard was one of my favorite men in recovery. He was brave, honest, humble, kind, and a Bodhisattva to all. He spoke for me at recovery meetings at least a half dozen times over the years, in other words every time I asked. He was always inspiring. He’s gone too soon, and I will always fondly remember my dear friend.
Mary Ann,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of
sorrow. Marge Rengh
Thank you Captain Blotzer for serving our country. Our sincerest condolences to Mary Ann and her family.
I was alerted to Richard’s death by a good friend in my virtual recovery group. Mr. Crosby gave a moving testimony about Richard to this newly sober guy. Sometimes I hear something that moves me to tears and his share was one of them. Perhaps I’m uber sensitive after a year of no booze, more likely, I was overwhelmed with the sheer volume of people that Richard helped. I’m 44 years behind him, but I will strive to be as impactful as Richard was for others.

Dear Maryann and family
So sorry to hear about your husband. I had to work and was unable to attend the services for Richard. He had a rough life but I know you were a rock for him and the others who helped him on his journeys. Take care of yourself and be strong for you now have to worry about yourself and your health. He is in a better place and no more suffering.
