Messages of Condolence

  1. On behalf of the current and past employees and all the customers he served so well for so many years, we thank Carl for his loyal and dependable service. He will always be a part of the Universal Oil family.

  2. I have the fondest memories of Carl, and all the times he helped me with using Broadview Baptist Church for showers and weddings. He was an amazing man who served our country, was a dedicated husband, and wonderful father. My prayers to the family. I am rejoicing that he is with my Lord and Savior, and my mom and dad, and that Iiwill see him again. He will be missed this side of heaven.

  3. May I offer my sincere condolences. May your hearts find comfort in God’s Word where it states: “He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord will wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isaiah 25:8) May your loved one awaken to a world where there will be peace, no sickness (Isaiah 33:24), and no more troubles (Revelation 21:4) throughout eternity (Psalm 37:29). May your hearts find comfort and hope in the wonderful hope found in the Bible, your family, friends and good memories at this time. My deepest sympathy to you.

  4. I look back at the 25 years plus my family attended Broadview and are totally Blessed to have had the opportunity to have met Carl & Delores. Their faithfulness was the glue that held the Church together in good times and troubled waters. They were and still are Christ driven, a foundation for others to build on and direct their Christian walk, a never ending guiding hand as Christ guides his children. In Christian Love, Don & Wally and family.

  5. I pray God comfort you Delores and your family.

  8. Krimmel family – we are so sorry for your loss and are thinking of you and praying for you.

  9. Dear Delores,

The mail man arrived today with the word that our dear Carl is now walking the streets of Gold..

How much I recall about your family and your parents. For me to write it would fill several pages.

First, THANK YOU for being so thoughtful in thinking to send us the word.

Second, THANK YOU for this reminder of six of the most wonderful years of my Pastoral career with the fantastic Church. family that included you and Carl !

Another memory indelible in my memory is the day I picked up Carl and we came home to the sad loss of your beloved Gary. Oher more enjoyable memories are the many conversations he and shared from time to time at Church.

Birthdays come along rapidly it seems and I did NOT recall Carl was just one year younger then me.

Many are the wonderful memories that you and Carl, your parents, the Delongs, and many other Clevelanders provided to Shirley and me along with our Broadview children from 1964 -1970.

Today I shall be writing to the Broadview Church as I recall well Carl’s impact on my life.

    In Christian Love

    Paul and Shirley Edie
