I worked with Pat at the Cuyahoga County Department of Senior and Adult Services, then a newly created department to focus solely on disabled and older adults. She had the major responsibility of transforming a long established homemaker program into a certified home health department. In 1993, I was appointed Chief of Adult Protective Services. It was an exciting and demanding time, and Pat and I shared many great conversations about our goals, the new opportunities and expectations, and of course, our families. How she loved all of you! Pat was a great professional and a great person.
