Funeral Mass Wednesday, October 12th at 11am at St. Charles Borromeo. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 at Zabor Funeral Home 5680 Pearl Rd. Parma (between Ridge and Snow). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Hospice 6707 State Rd. Parma, Ohio 44134.

I was her student I 1961 and 62. She took a personal interest in my choice of boyfriends and talked to me confidentially. That was unexpected, but she saw much more than an immature 17 year old. I’ll never forget her. I wish I could have told her.
Aunt Hildegarde, I love you so much! I will miss your wit and wisdom. You have inspired me so much in my life. I know you will forever be a part of my life! Rest In Peace Aunt Hilde.

Aunt Hildegarde was many things to many people. For me and my family, she was a friend and a confidant. Always an educator, she shared her wisdom and knowledge of many things. I can’t think of anything you couldn’t ask her without getting the correct answer. If by chance she didn’t know the answer, she’d find it for you. Before there was Google, there was Hildegarde! She loved history, reading and words. She was a teacher to many and a poet to some. She wrote riddles, papers, poems and songs. She had a quick wit and loved to laugh. She was a devout Catholic and found comfort in spending time with loved ones. I will miss her and I don’t think the fact that she’s really gone has sunk in yet. Love you Aunt Hil xoxo
