John Joseph DEJA Sr., age 68, passed away on January 17, 2018 at Seasons of Life Hospice Center surrounded by loved ones. John was born on February 8, 1949 in Minden, Germany. He came to the US with his family in 1952. John married his wife of 42 years on November 1, 1975. He was proud of his US citizenship becoming a citizen in 1999. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was the calming voice of strength and encouragement for his family. John had a one of a kind sense of humor. He was always making everyone laugh. John loved all genres of movies and was filled with movie facts and trivia. John loved to work on antique cars, renovation projections, and his vintage train set. He is survived by his loving wife Sandy Deja (nee Meier). He is the proud father of: son Gregory (Linda) Roush (deceased); daughter Michelle (Michael) Rackel; son John (Jessica) Deja Jr.; and daughter Christine (Patrick) Harte. Loving grandfather of: Amy, Nicholas, Brandon (Amanda), Sean, Erin, Aedan, Grayson, and Colin and great grandfather of Ryan, Nicholas, Sammy, Elliot, and Cameron. He is survived by his sister Sophie (Leonard) Hough; sister Teresa Deja; brother Wally (Joan) Deja, and sister-in-law Barbara (Andrew) Hegedus and loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
