For 95 years, John Warner lived life as ‘Entrepreneur Extraordinaire’, world traveler and the most mild-mannered gentle soul on earth. His interests and accomplishments could fill a book! He even took his nephews on a road trip all the way to Alaska with his brother, Stanley. Our Uncle John’s kindness and generosity reached out across the continents. Our families were close. He was my Dad’s cousin; their Mothers were Ziemba sisters. They grew up together in the same household in Ohio in the 1920s with their siblings Frank, Stanley, Ann Wojnarowski and cousins, John and Joseph Czech. Uncle John was the last of my paternal elders and I will never forget him.
It is with great sadness that I received the news about John’s passing. He lived a good life and was generous and gentle. He will be missed. It is however glorious that he will be reunited with his beloved family in Heaven to share fish dinners during Lent and celebrate the Ressurrection of Christ in the most miraculous way.
