Charles Edward Carpenter, age 77, passed peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at Hospice of Medina on May 21st, 2018. Chuck was the beloved husband of Sandra Carpenter of 23 years and his late wife, Barbara Ann Carpenter of 33 years. Chuck was the loving father of Roy (Tina), and Chuck; and stepfather of Kim (Jeff), Stacey (Doug), Joe (Sarah) Natalie (Scott); and cherished grandfather of Roy (Lindsey), Blake, Brent, Preston, Kimberly, Dane, Lexy, Carter and Ashley and loving great grandfather of Graydon (Roy & Lindsey). Chuck was born November 16th, 1940 and the only child of Roy and Marion Carpenter of Parma Heights. For 40 years, Chuck worked as a dedicated salesman in the car business and retired from Williams Ford in Berea. Chuck had a heart of gold and was always there to lend a helping hand. He had a love for sprint cars, car races and was an avid race fan. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
The family prefers that those who wish to make contributions in remembrance of Charles Carpenter to the University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center, 5133 Ridge Road, Suite 5, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281. A memorial celebration will be held on Friday, May 25th with a 10 AM-12 PM viewing and 12 PM memorial service at Zabor Funeral Home, 5680 Pearl Road, Parma, Ohio 44129. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
