Messages of Condolence
I have attributed his influence on me in 3rd grade as my initial inspiration for the priesthood back in 1956 in Muncie Indians st St Lawrence It was a profound impact on my life
What a kind man he was. Met him when he came to St Pat’s Oxford. I was a child of 15. We remained lifelong friends and he officiated at my wedding and at my children’s weddings. Many fond memories of a great man who came into mt life at the perfect time. Rest In Peace Dear friend.
I knew Father Mike when he was Associate Pastor of my Parish in Carmel, Indiana. When I retired from the Navy Reserves, I wanted Fr. Mike to be part of the ceremony. It was an honor to have him present. I will offer a prayer for the repose of his soul and will ensure his former Parish leaders and congregation are aware of his passing. On behalf of a grateful Nation and a proud Navy, I salute his service to our Country and our Church.
As a kid, I remember Mike Ondo on the playground of Our Lady of Good Counsel to this day. The last time I met with Mike was when he said the 100th Anniversary Mass in 1996. Mike will be in heaven on the 4th of July to celebrate his dedicated Military service to our country.
My sister, Marge, was in the 8th grade class with Mike at O.L.G.C. My sister and her husband visited Mike often after he retired. Mike had a real good sense of humor along with his brother, Joe. Mike was also a good friend of my brother, Charles Wolan. When they were young they use to chum around together. My brother almost followed Mike to the priesthood. May Mike soul, and all the souls, through the mercy of God rest forever in peace.
Jim and Jane Wolan
Prayers were welcomed and attention to me because we were together in the Archdiocese of the Military Services, USA.
He was and prayerfully NOW part of the HEART of CHRIST’S MYSTICAL BODY – confer: http://www.msausa.org/heart
I am deeply sorry for your loss. There’s a promise god makes us at Acts 24:15. I hope you can find comfort in this.
We are sorry Fr. has left us behind, but rejoice in his going home. He presided over our wedding in Muncie 50 years ago this November. He was more nervous than we were. In the following years, he baptized our three children. He was a kind and loving priest to all. May the angels welcome you to Paradise. Rest in peace.
