Theresa M. TEMAS, age 89, a longtime resident of Brooklyn, Ohio, formerly of Ellsworth, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 16, 2019 at Parma Hospital. She was born February 7, 1930 in Washington County, PA, to Josephine and Joseph Swortchek.
Theresa married the love of her life, Peter Temas, September 10 of 1949. They eventually settled in Brooklyn, Ohio to raise their family. Theresa was a devout catholic and regularly attended St Thomas More Parish. She lived a full life as a wonderful mother and grandmother, and worked at Ohio Bell for 25 years, retiring in 1986. Theresa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, PeterTemas in 1996.
Left to honor her and remember her love are sons, Gregory (Janet) of Winston Salem, NC and Jeffery (Chonna) of Maui, Hawaii. Cherished grandchildren Amy (Sebastian) Blake, Brian (Kathryn) Temas, Daniel (Mashala) Temas, Jennifer Temas and Nikolas Temas. Great grandchildren Raphael, Gabriel, and Emily.
She is survived by dear sister of Delores Reeves of Volusia County, Florida, and Joseph Swortchek of Grafton, Ohio and the late Patricia Schutt and John Swortchek. She is remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday November 21, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm at Zabor Funeral Home 5680 Pearl Road Parma, Ohio 44129. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday November 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at St Thomas More Parish 4170 N. Amber Drive Brooklyn, Ohio 44144. Private interment will be Saturday November 23, 2019.
