My heartfelt condolences to the Gajowski family. I worked with Jim in Homicide. He was a excellent Detective and I was proud to serve with him. He always had a funny story and a great outlook on life. He will be missed.
All the years that I worked with Jimmy I never seen him get angry. He could stay calm in a hurricane . I know I partly response able for some of his gray hair when I was working him. It was a honor to work with him . His blue family was truly blessed to have him as a member. God bless you and yours.
We are shocked and heartbroken to learn of Jim’s passing. What a blessing he (and you Bobbi) are to our family. The girls adored him.
Sending our love and prayers to you Bobbi and the entire family.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Jim Gajowski. Jim and I were friends and partners in the Third District detective bureau for a number of years.
Jim was the real deal. There was nothing phony about him. If you wanted an honest opinion about anything you could count on Jim to
tell you the truth. Great attitude and sense of humor also.

So sorry for your loss Bobbie. You two were always fun to be around, and complemented each other so well.
If only every Detective was as dedicated, determined and detailed as Jim the world would be a better place. It was a privilege to have worked with him, and learn from him. I think God sent him to the CPD as the counterbalance to partners he had like Tom Shoulders and Sowa, but in return his hair turned gray earlier than it should. Lots of great memories and laughs. You will be in our prayers

Bobbi, As you know, Jim & I go way back. My heart goes out to you for your loss. Those that were lucky enough to have known him, will always remember him. He always wanted to be a policeman….and he was one of the best out there. GOD Bless.
Very much sympathy to Jim’s family. Delphine and I were privileged to get to know him when he faithfully visited his late mother Helen while she was a resident in a local nursing home sharing a room with Del’s mother. A very good man from a very nice family. Again, our best to Bobbi and all of Jim’s family. God bless all of you.
