Cousin of Luann Osterling, the late Robert Cmolik (Cindy), and “aunt” to Anna Jean and Joe (Yadeliz). Best friend of Nancy Zurek and dear friend and mentor to many. Peg was an active member in many local and national dog clubs, including 4-H. Messages of Condolence

  1. Godspeed to you Peg. I was saddened to learn of your passing and we will miss you. Rest easy knowing your schips are in safe hand.

  2. Peg was a wonderful woman and although we never met face-to-face she and I became pals, brought together by Schipperkes. I have many notes and cards which Peg sent to me over the years, and to be cherised even more now. Be at peace, Peg and thanks for your friendship.

  3. I only met Peg once, at the Schipperke Nationals in Ohio many years ago. I liked her immediately. She was warm and friendly. She was helping to provide information for the book I’m working on for the United States Schipperke Club, and in fact, I’d sent her an email on June4th with a question I had. I don’t know if she was still alive then. Rest in Peace, dear Peg. The schipperke world will miss you..

  4. My condolences to Peg’s family and friends. She was a very special lady. My club members and I will miss her terribly.

  5. Peg indeed was a special person, also a very dear friend of my dear mother Nancy R Bishop, OHA. They will have a lot of catching up to do in heaven. RIP Peg

  6. Peg will be missed by many. Her love for her dogs, people and the sport was incredible. She had a twinkle in her eye which her awesome sense of humor shined through.
My sincere sympathy goes out to her niece her best friend Nancy Zurek and the rest of her family and friends. I was proud to call you friend. Rest in peace dear lady. We will meet again someday at the big dog show in heaven. Lynda Tesar

  7. Heaven has gained yet another dog loving person. Peg was a wonderful warm woman, so generous with her time especially with the 4H kids. She was a leader in the dog clubs she belonged to. A friend to all she knew, especially Nancy Zurek. I always think of them together…best friends. Rest in peace Peg til we meet again.

  8. I did not personally know Peg, but I recognize her perpetually smiling face. I saw her often at Cleveland All Breed. My condolences to all who do know her and are suffering the sorrow of her loss. RIP Peg.

  9. Dear family of Peg,
I met Peg at Kentown Animal Hospital. She was hired after I left. Each and every time I came back with my pets, she greeted me with a smile no matter how busy she was at the front desk. she was kind and compassionate and always made time to converse with me. I will miss her. I am sure, all whose path she crossed feel the same way! Peg had a positive impact on people and animals alike.I pray for you, family and friends of Peg, in your time of grief.
    Most sincerely,
    Tracey Edwards

  10. Rest In Peace Peg. I still have Christmas cards and get well cards for memories of you. MaryAnn Simanek

  11. My thoughts and prayers are with Peg’s family and close friends. She was a special person and her love of Schip’s was shared by many of us. R.I.P. Peg, you will be missed.

  12. Peg,
May you rest in peace,. The world is minus one more animal lover. I know you are surrounded by the animals that passed before you .. tell my 4 pack of skips that momma loves them 🙂

  13. I was always happy to see Peg at a dog show. She was always friendly and had time to chat. She was a true sportsman with a huge heart for her Schipperke. Rest In Peace Peg. Condolences to The family.

  14. I always enjoyed our time together at dog shows in every venue we showed in. I loved helping you with your little black dogs, Sckips.and I will miss you for a very long time. Rest easy my friend.

  15. I only knew Peg from our Facebook friendship. I wish I could have met her in person. Any lady who loved Schips was a great lady! I send my sincere condolences to her family on her loss.

  16. Met Peg at a dog show 26 years ago – she sponsored me into the Schipperke Club of America, we had a shared love of the “little black devil dogs” all these many years. Peg always sent a Christmas card every year – with a cheery message inside – always thinking of others. I’m sure there was a joyous celebration at the Rainbow Bridge with all the little black dogs running to greet her!

  17. As a client of Parma Animal Hospital, I was blessed by Peg’s kindness and compassion as she cared for my pets over her many years of service as a vet tech there. As I worried when one of my pets was ill and when I grieved after losing each pet, Peg offered comfort and friendship. My heart hurts in knowing that she has gone home, but I know that she is enjoying the rewards of her “work” on earth. My deepest sympathy to family and friends. Thank you, Peg, for everything.

  18. Gosh, this remarkable woman will be missed by soooooo many of us. A fine sportswoman, a committed dog owner, and a remarkable and generous human being. She has earned her rest, and I do believe she’s having a wonderful time with all her canines who crossed that bridge ahead of her. Rest in Peace, Peg, and may you Rise in Glory!

  19. Funny how you think all your dog show, training, & breeder friends you’ve known for decades will always be there, even if we just see each other in passing or brief conversations. Comforting to know there was another truly nice person with us. Peg will be missed by many..

  20. We met Peg some years ago (more than what it seems) at schipperke ringside. She offered her observations on the dogs in the ring, as we were looking for a schipperke at the time. She became a great friend and mentor over the years. She left us too soon, we will all miss her friendship and knowledge.

  21. I met Peg thru the Schipperke Nation Facebook group. We never met in person but we became fb friends through our love for this breed. I miss our conversations and her funny jokes. My sincere condolences to her family and may she rest in peace.

  22. As President of Western Reserve Kennel Club and representing its Board of Directors I want to send our deepest condolences to grieving family and friends. Peg was a life member of our club and bore the weight of many years of volunteering and caring for our club. She served untold hours, never complaining only thinking of the best interest of WRKC. We will all miss her especially during awards night when her clever humor always gave us giggles! The Club has made a donation to The Midwest Schipperke Rescue as expressed by her family and friends. It is unfortunate that due to COVID-19 many of us were unable to come to her service but know that she was in our thoughts.

  23. I just found out today about Peg and I am so shaken. She was one of my first mentors, and the best! We shared many wicked fun adventures. We kept in touch here and there through FB. She always remembered my birthday over the years. I am just heartbroken that I didn’t know and missed her service. May she rest peacefully and still delight in pranks from heaven. I will miss you dearly my friend.

  24. So sorry to hear of the passing of Peg. As clients of Parma Animal Hospital for many years, we came to know her as warm, kind and very knowledgeable. She was always there to guide us through the sometimes challenging times of being a dog owner.
Our sympathy to her family and friends.

  25. Just heard of Peg’s passing. I’m crushed. One of the nicest lady I knew. God bless her family and
friends. They’ll never be another Peg. Enjoy HEAVEN and rest in peace.
