SCHILLING, Frank J.

Frank J. Schilling, 72, passed away on August 17, 2020 peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Diane, Step-father of Anthony Bonacci (Christina) and Valerie Bonacci Stuber (Rick), grandfather of Carter, Coen, Addison and Hailey. Frank loved his Golden Retrievers – Desi, Maggie, Ruby, Kizzy and Archie. He was a long time member and volunteer of Medina Kennel Club and Golden Retrievers In Need (GRIN). Frank actively volunteered over the years with the Cleveland and Parma Jaycees and was awarded the JCI Senator, and more recently volunteered at Medina Hospital with his Therapy Dog, Maggie. Frank has been very active with his dogs doing Search & Rescue, Obedience, Rally, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving, Fast Cats and has earned numerous titles with them.

Services will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St.Ambrose Church 929 Pearl Rd. Brunswick, Oh 44212 at 10:30am on Monday, August 24th.  Graveside service to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held next year.

    I’m so sorry to hear you’ve lost your best friend. I can only try to imagine how difficult that must be. I hope your furry friends will be of some comfort to you. Frank did love them so much and enjoyed the accomplishments he helped them achieve along with your help.
    Medina Kennel Club has given me the opportunity to meet many friends and I’m glad I had the opportunity to be a friend of Frank’s.
    He was always willing to help wherever needed and liked to joke around with everyone.

    Frank made me laugh, and I did my best to tell him stories of my past,to shock him and make him laugh . I never met any one like Frank.

    Generously donating so much time to the Medina Kennel Club. and so active with the dogs! my gosh he did everything. Dock Dog and all that. of course I will miss him.

  17. Dear Diane, I am so sorry for the Loss of Frank, I know how much you took care of him and did everything you could to help him. He is now resting and not in any pain. His Spirit will be with you always and remember the good times you both had with your family and especially your Goldens. He’s probably surrounded by all the Goldens he knew that have passed on before him. Just think of the great reunion he is having w/ his dogs. Terry and Ivory.

  18. Dear Diane I was thinking of Frank and happened to look him up online. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. Its been many years since I have seen both of you, but remember all the crazy times we had with the Cleveland Jaycees. My prayers to you and your family
