Martin F. Eck, age 68. Dearest father of Matt (Kara), Mike (Cheryl), Mark, and Melissa. Loving grandfather of Elianna, Kassidy, Michael, Clementine, Xavier and Makinsley. Marty is also survived by his former spouse Michelle and sister MaryEllen.  He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mary Ann (nee Calvey) brother Art and sister Eileen.

Marty passed away on December 3rd, 2020. He was a friend to many and made many more laugh with his bad jokes and self-deprecating humor. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, Ohio and never strayed too far away. He wore many hats over his lifetime including, umpire, referee, construction company owner/laborer, lifeguard/manager, bus driver, underground utilities locator, and probably many more. He loved gardening and hanging out at the Hopp Inn. Most importantly he loved bringing people together.

Marty’s Celebration of Life is Friday, July 2nd, 2021, at 2:30pm. LYNDA M. LYNCH, (nee Kowalski), age 76, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Loving Godmother and aunt to Kelly Ann Sedivy (David) and loving aunt to Karin Kowalski Kagan (Joshua). Cherished great-aunt to Nicholas and Alyssa Sedivy, Kyle and Colin Kagan. Beloved cousin and dearest friend to many. Preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Kowalski and brother Dennis. Lynda was a graduate of Holy Name, class of 1963, where she was a majorette. A devoted employee of Ohio Bell / AT&T for over 30 years, Lynda worked in many capacities. An avid baker, Lynda was well known for bringing delicious baked goods and jellos to holidays and events. Lynda was a loyal and generous friend to many, animal lover, fan of Cleveland sports teams, and loved spending time outdoors. Some of her favorite annual events were the Duchnowski family picnics and Ohio Bell Pioneer picnics where she could celebrate outdoors with family and friends. Special thanks to cousin Elaine Murray and devoted friends: Tom Havrilla, Diane Bowditch, Patrice and Ed Williams for all of your love and support.

STANFORD, Richard LeRoy II

Richard LeRoy STANFORD II, age 73, of Middleburg Heights, OH passed away on June 13, 2021.

Rick was the loving husband to Roswitha (Koch) for 37 years. The loving father to Aaron (Katie), Christopher (Jessica), Andrew and Ricky. The loving grandfather to Braeden (Sonia), Emma, Tessa, Beckett, Daniel, Gracelyn, Knox and Oaklyn. The loving great-grandfather to Evalyn, Alex and Kingston. The loving brother to Linda Thompson (Gary), Von Schafer (Gary) and Kim Seelinger (Don). The loving brother-in-law to Rudy Koch (Tina). He leaves behind nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends around the world. He was, also, the loving father to his adopted children in Mexico; Vicki, Soni, Ricardo and Stephanie and grandfather to their eight children.

Rick was born on May 12, 1948 in Warren, Ohio to his parents, Dick and Doris Stanford. He grew up on his cherished family farm in Williamsfield, Ohio.

Rick earned a degree from Cleveland State University Fenn College in mechanical engineering and was a Professional Engineer. He was an entrepreneur. He started Stanford and Associates, an accident reconstruction consulting firm, while still in college. Rick was respected in his field and worked on many types of forensic cases. He also formed Stanmex, Inc., which was a fleet management company, and then formed Stanford Telematics.

Rick’s work and leisure time were both filled with travel, which was what he most enjoyed in life. He loved traveling the world, meeting new people and learning about new cultures. Rick was bighearted and compassionate. He was always ready to help a friend or a stranger. His family believes his generosity was extraordinary. He was genuinely kind to all. Rick made friends quickly wherever he traveled. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Rick was a lifelong Christian, whose faith was very important to him. He truly lived what he believed.

Many thanks to all the staff at M. D. Anderson and at Hospice of the Western Reserve for their work, kindness and friendship in helping Rick navigate through the past four years.
