He also formed Stanmex, Inc., which was a fleet management company, and then formed Stanford Telematics.

Rick’s work and leisure time were both filled with travel, which was what he most enjoyed in life. He loved traveling the world, meeting new people and learning about new cultures. Rick was bighearted and compassionate. He was always ready to help a friend or a stranger. His family believes his generosity was extraordinary. He was genuinely kind to all. Rick made friends quickly wherever he traveled. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Many thanks to all the staff at M. D. Anderson and at Hospice of the Western Reserve for their work, kindness and friendship in helping Rick navigate through the past four years.
