Janet J. LOYA (nee Votruba), age 81. September 7, 1940 – November 9, 2021. Wife of Steve Loya (deceased). Born to Robert and Marian Votruba (both deceased). Loving mother of Barb Rauckhorst (Terry), Lori Waycaster (Paul) and Jeff Loya (Phil Pace). Loving grandmother of Steve Rauckhorst (Lauren), Luke Waycaster and Jodi Waycaster (she spoiled them rotten). Beloved GiGi of Eva Rauckhorst (REALLY spoiled her). Loving sister of Marjorie (deceased), Kathleen, MaryJane, Christine, Joanne, Dolores, Robert and LuAnn.
Her wish was granted when her children were by her side during final her moments. Devotion to her faith, church, family and friends was most important to Jan. She sang in the church choir and was a very supportive fan during her husband’s softball days. She always gave her time and talents freely to her family, friends and neighbors with a smile and never asked for anything in return. She gave selflessly to all. She was the true definition of a Christian woman.
Visitation will be Friday, November 12th from 3-8 PM at The Zabor Funeral Home, 5680 Pearl Road, (between Ridge & Snow Roads) Parma. Prayer service at Zabor Funeral Home at 9:00 am on Saturday, November 13th followed by the Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 North Amber Drive, Brooklyn, Ohio. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS the family requests donations to be made to Holy Family Hospice Parma, Ohio (https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E7118&id=10). They took such wonderful care of Jan during her final days.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Jan was a truly a great example of living her faith. Such a genuinely kind woman. I loved seeing her and will miss her driving by the house waving and tooting the horn. Prayers of comfort for her family.

With heartfelt sadness in the passing of your Mother. She was a Dear friend to Marie Scheiman and a most wonderful neighbor and friend to Dennis Gasper. Your Mother was a beautiful human in every way. I personally enjoyed many get togethers with her at Marie’s and remember her kind and gentle voice. Always a smile and ever positive. God Bless all of you during your time of grief. May your Mother rest in peace.
