James Douglas LYONS, Sr. age 80. Most beloved husband of Theresa (nee Polomsky). Devoted father of Elizabeth, J. Douglas, Jr. (deceased), Christopher (Melody), Erin Semenec (Craig). Cherished grandfather of Peter, Grace, Abigail, Leo (Martha), Xavier, Anastasia, Elizabeth, Lily, Lazarus, George, Lucy, Simon, Zeno, Amelia. Brother of Charles (Marilyn, deceased). Dearest friend of Janusz and Rita Zak.
Doug was a gentleman in the truest sense: loving, kind, compassionate, generous, with a ready smile for everyone. He took special delight in his grandchildren and was so very grateful as each one was born. His deep faith in Our Lord always guided his decisions. He took great joy in prayer, always having special family intentions in mind. We were blessed to have this exceptional man with us for 80 years. He leaves a void no one will ever fill. Dearest Doug, we love you and pray Our Blessed Lord will walk with you on your final journey. You are with us always.
PLEASE MEET THE FAMILY AT CHURCH FOR THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL, FRI. DEC. 3, 10:30 AM AT MARY QUEEN OF PEACE CHURCH. INTERMENT, HOLY CROSS CEMETERY.

So saddened to hear of Doug’s passing.
What a wonderful guy. Always had a warm smile &
was so kind whenever you saw him. Besides your faith,
I’m sure your family has many beautiful memories to
cling to. Your family will be in our prayers in a very
special way.

Terri,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. We enjoyed meeting Doug out by the mailbox and catching up. If there is anything we can do let us know.

To Terri and the Lyons family: We were all blessed to know Doug and enjoy his friendship through many pro-life efforts over the years.
I trust that the Lord will reward him for his faithfulness in defending the most innocent and vulnerable among us.
Now we have a strong advocate in heaven!
Brother Chris! I’m sorry to hear about the death of your father, whom I remember fondly as a “quiet man,” strong, kind and generous. Please know that you and your family are in our prayers. And also please forgive my lame acknowledgment through this text, since I’ve not been able to track down any contact information for you. I would love to re-establish contact and catch up. Please send me an email when things settle down. Love to all the Lyons, your Fellow Fisherman, Nathan S.
I’m so sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. We worked together for 16 years at Consolidated Freightways. I worked directly for Jim 5 or 6 years. May he Rest In Peace! Prayers and Comfort for his family
