Betty Louise Wolf, (nee Goede), age 96, born in Berea, OH, passed away on May 12, 2022, surrounded by her four children and granddaughter. Betty was the loving wife (of 64 years) of the late Donald Wolf and loving sister to June Tischler; Dearest mother of Barbara Scullin (Len), David (Linda), Diane Herzing (Keith), and Lori VanArendonk (John); Beloved grandmother of Bethany, Brian, Patrick, Laura, Marc, Dean, Mark, Sean, Kevin, Chad, Alyse, Rachel, Benjamin, and Michael; Betty, fondly known as GG, is the great grandmother of 20: Isaac, Ava, Liam, Patrick, Alexandra, Nathan, Andrew, Madeline, Patrick, Clara, Lucy, Michaela, Hank, Zoe, Isaac, Eliana, Juliet, John, Ethan, and Levi. Betty was a member of the Brooklyn Reformed Church for 55 years. She was a Christian woman, and that was reflected in her everyday life. She met her husband Don for the first time at the German Central Farm, where they danced the night away, and had their wedding reception nine months later. She and her husband loved traveling around the world and especially their travels to Lake Chautauqua where the family of six camped in a tent for years before having a summer home there. They enjoyed sharing that home with several family members and friends. Being with family and friends was definitely a priority for Betty. Her four children and their spouses, her 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren were the loves of her life. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, being a member of a financial club, reading, embroidery, and celebrating Christmas in Montana with the girls. Most of all was Betty’s daily worship to God. Her favorite Bible verse “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13) carried her through the daily trials and tribulations of life. Betty Louise was the perfect role model for her family and will be forever remembered in all of the lives of the Wolf Family.
We would especially like to thank Diane Wolf Herzig for the undivided love, attention, and care that she provided for our mother over the past several years.
Also, we would like to thank the following who gave such great care to our mom. Betty loved each of them dearly: Jan Harwood, Mary Jo Granger, and Jen Manthey.

Loved chatting with grandma on her Chautauqua deck. Always a big smile and bright eyes. Great memories to cherish . Special hugs to her girls and family members.
There are no words to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I do remember your family home was filled with love.
You are all in Mark and my prayers. I will always cherish the many memories I have of Ma Wolf. She was truly a blessing to all who knew her.
Truly an example of a Godly woman. So many memories with our “Bettys” and one that stands out is when Mrs Wolf played telephone operator on one April Fool’s Day for me. She went right along with my prank. I loved her laugh. I got my nickname June e moony from her and her husband. I celebrate with all of you on her new residence in Heaven and Eternal Life with her Savior.
What a beautiful tribute to a remarkable woman. I’ve enjoyed hearing stories about her and I could sense what a wonderful and loved woman she was.
We’re so so sorry to hear of the passing of Betty. Please know you’re all in our thoughts and prayers.
Love and prayers to all,

Dear Diane and family – I have so many memories of being at your house and your mother – always happy. And your dad, of course. What a character! I always take comfort that my mother lives in the wonderful memories people have of her. I hope you can find some comfort there, too.
