LANG, Arthur D. Jr.

It is time to celebrate the passing of the life of a man beloved by all who knew him…

ARTHUR D. LANG, Jr. (age 87), passed in peace to the arms of his Lord and Father on August 24th 2022 in the grateful presence of his loved ones. He was born July 1, 1935. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marlene M. Lang (née Marko), age 39 and their loving children: Arthur D. Lang III (Becky Rambo); Scott M. Lang (Kathy nee Austin); Daniel Lang (Lynn Vogel); Cindy Lang (Arnie); Todd Lang (Rhonda née Yatsko); Kelly Reynolds (Jerry); Amy Kwiatkowski (Robert); Sean Lang (Eunice Estoque); and grandchildren Kaitlin and Austin; Ben; Mason, Elliot, Audrey and Aiden; Jacob and Jordan; Carly, Meara, and Anna and great grandchildren; Adelyn and Zandon.

As a youngster, he was a gold glove boxer and fought the good fight to the end; including fighting to protect his kid brother in the schoolyard as a boy. Art loved his family and friends. He gave countless volunteer hours to the Elks and his church, St. Francis de Sales as Athletic Director, Holy Name Society President and member, and building the convent chapel among other projects including raising funds at the parish picnics and turkey festivals. He loved golf in his retirement years, but loved nothing better than being with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Father Arthur D. Lang and Mother Bridget Lang (née Mackin, Galway Ireland) his Sister Phyllis Swann and brother Big Bad Bob Lang. He will be powerfully missed but is being gently held in the palm of his Father’s hands.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church on Monday, August 29, 10:00 AM, (corner of State and Snow Roads, Parma). Family will be greeted and Art’s life celebrated with a wake at the Zabor Funeral Home 5680 Pearl Rd., Parma, Ohio 44129 on Sunday August 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Home.

ROCHA, Linda L.

Linda L. Rocha went home to Jesus on August 20th, 2022 at age 71. Linda was the cherished daughter of Joseph Petruzzi Sr, and the late Lucy Guida Petruzzi (Panzanella). Linda was a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband, William (Bill) married on April 22 nd , 1972 and were blessed to celebrate their 50 th Wedding Anniversary together. They have two children, Michael (Sara) Rocha and Jennifer (Brian) Gawelek. She was a loving grandmother to Nicholas, Brandon, Anna, Serene, Callie, Cayla, the late Claire and Charlotte. A dear sister to Sharon Balogh (Reverend Ray); Joseph Petruzzi Jr. (deceased), Julia Petruzzi, Lucy Nofel (Jack) (both deceased) and Anthony Petruzzi. She was a loving aunt and great-aunt to many. She was a mentor and example to many who lovingly referred to her as “Mama Rocha” through all of her years. Her friendships are countless and her life was an example of serving the Lord in every role she held in her life.

William H. III “Bill” BOEHME, age 73, of Parma, passed away at home on Sat. Aug. 20. Beloved husband of 43 years to Dineen E. (nee Pawloski). Dearest father of William S. and Brett A. (Stephanie). Loving grandfather of Anthony and Evan. Dear uncle and friend to many.

Bill was born in Cleveland on July 24, 1949 to Carmella & William Boehme. He was a Navy Vet. of the Vietnam War. Bill worked at LSE Galvanizing and retired from Mittal Steel Co. in 2010. He enjoyed breakfast with his friends at Luna’s Diner, hunting at his property with his two sons, riding his Harley Davidson and working on his motorcycles and ATV’s. Bill was always willing to help a friend in need and loved to make others laugh. He loved spending time with his two grandsons, Anthony and Evan, and grandpets, Swisher, Rousey and Louie. He will be greatly missed.

Dorothy Elizabeth Hatala, age 93.  For 67 years she was the beloved wife of the late Paul G. Hatala until his passing in 2015.  She missed him terribly the past 7 years as we know he did her. Now they are together again and probably dancing like they loved to do together.  Dorothy was the loving mother of Kathy Yasenka (John), Chip (Leanne) and Mark. Devoted grandma of Stacey Less, Sam, Chris and Thomas. Dear sister of Edward Dvorak (deceased) and Helen Heinzerling  (deceased). Passed away peacefully August 9.  Known for her laughter and humor, Dorothy was a fashion model for Halle Brothers in her younger years.  She loved being a Mom, whether to her three children and their friends or to her countless Shelties over the years.  A resident of Parma Heights for over 60 years, she enjoyed baking for her neighbors, friends and church.  She was much loved.   Because of covid concerns the family will hold private burial services followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Cleveland Animal Protective League online at https://clevelandapl.org/.
