KUSICK, Norma

KUSICK, Norma

Norma KUSICK, age 92 (nee Beveridge). Beloved wife of the late Paul and loving companion of the late Robert Meurer. Dearest mother of the late Paula Medlar (James “Greg”) and Mark Kusick. Loving grandmother of James “Jamie” Medlar (Kayla Hurt) and Melissa (Giuseppe) Ricciuti, and Katherine “Kady” (Joe) Fougerousse. Cherished great-grandmother of Alexa, Jaxon, Brynlee and Rylee Ricciuti, and Bella Fougerousse. Norma was a dear friend to many.
Norma was a native of New York, New York. She would often tell stories of her childhood running around New York City going to Coney Island and Broadway shows. Norma always had the most interesting stories. Norma eventually moved to Erie, Pa and then finally to Cleveland, Ohio where she met her husband, Paul Kusick. While Paul had an internship at Ohio Bell, Norma would take the bus downtown and work in a factory. Once Paul began working, Norma then stayed home and had two children who she loved dearly.
After her children were grown, Norma found her love of traveling. She and Paul would travel all over. She was married to Paul for more than 40 years before he became ill and passed away in 1998. She then started traveling with friends. Her and her companion, Bob Meurer, traveled and drove to Florida for years in his RV. Norma’s grandkids would always joke that she had more of a social life than they did. Norma always stayed busy. If you ever wanted Norma on a Wednesday you could always find her at a local restaurant with her “club” of friends. A tradition they started more than 40 years ago.
Norma was also a very proud grandmother and great grandmother. They were the light of her life and anyone who knew her knew that. You would often see her showing off pictures of her great-grandkids who called her G.G. Norma had seen more heartache in her life than most but she always came out stronger. Until the day Norma passed she was always able to find joy in life. Norma will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and adored her.
